Black Feast
Description
ABOUT BLACK FEAST
Black Feast is a food art event celebrating black artists and writers through culinary interpretations of their work.
Our experiences are created as a way to not only make space at the table for black artists, but to design a whole new table for us.
This meal is created as a celebration, a dance, and an offering. This meal is created for you.
Our May Black Feast event - As Bright As A Living Body, is inspired by the work of Oakland-based artist Lukaza Branfman-Verissimo. Our meal is available to everyone and free for all black folks. Non-black folks are encouraged to donate and kindly asked to purchase one meal donation for each meal purchased for yourself.
All menu items are vegan, gluten-free and made without cane sugar. Please note that this event is pickup only. This is not an opportunity to gather as we have in the past, but it is still a chance to nourish ourselves and each other.
