pARTy animals

Welcome to "pARTy animals" – an electrifying art exhibition celebrating the boundless creativity inspired by the animal kingdom. Prepare to embark on a whimsical journey through the wild, where artists unleash their imaginations and breathe life into creatures. We invite you to join us for the opening reception of “pARTy animals” on June 14, 2024 to come see our exhibition and experience our wild event.  Interact with installations, take selfies with animal artwork, collaborate on a mural and unleash your inner artist at hands-on workshops such as live puppet making. Guests are encouraged to dress as their favorite animals.  Also included in the festivities is a live musical performance by East Bay Area’s own Cache Memori.  The artwork from artists of Gallery 2727 and invited friends will be exhibited through June 23 at 2727 California Street in Berkeley.

Journeying through its second year, South Berkeley’s Gallery 2727 is pleased to present its newest art exhibition “pARTy animals”.  The opening reception, playfully titled Animal Hubbub, will be held on June 14 from 5-10 PM at 2727 California Street in the cultural heart of South Berkeley. About Gallery 2727:

The gallery features emerging artists and artists from under-represented groups who have had less opportunity to show their work. They come from diverse backgrounds, ranging from those just starting out to others who have returned to their art after completing other careers. Information about the gallery and its artists can be found at www.2727.today.
Gallery shows are presented every third month — four shows a year, alternating with performance, assembly and community use. These include musical and theatrical presentations, poetry and spoken word readings, film screenings, workshops, and practice use. Gallery 2727 began operating as a visual arts space in the summer of 2022 under the auspices of the non-profit Hellerstein Foundation. The airy, two-story gallery, in addition to showing and selling members’ arts, offers mentorships, artistic development, and networking opportunities to its artist members, who volunteer their time to running the gallery. Art classes and workshops are offered throughout the months that shows are active.
