Sonic Cartographies is Klank.ist’s newest performance series, curated by Eda Er, designed to foster bi-monthly gatherings and collaborative encounters with Bay Area-based musicians and artists. The series offers a platform for local artists to engage with, interpret, and respond to works and ideas shared by Klank.ist members across Berlin, Istanbul, Strasbourg, Graz, Yalova, and the San Francisco Bay Area — forming an ongoing, evolving dialogue across geographies.
An audiovisual exploration of experimental music and interdisciplinary collaboration, Sonic Cartographies maps new sonic and visual territories through a hybrid format that includes live networked performances, recorded contributions, graphic scores, and multimedia interventions. The series blurs the boundaries between digital and physical presence, celebrating the power of collaboration beyond borders.
